Antlered Crown and Standing Stone - Damh the Bard

The album opens with the title track, a typically rousing anthem in honour of the Pagan Horned God of Nature. From there we go into Under a Beltane Sun, a song so catchy you can't help but sing along. A duet with Eala on the retelling of the tragic tale of Branwen in Branwen's Lament cannot fail to touch the heart. The album finishes with an 8 minute epic retelling of the story of Ceridwen and Taliesin. This album is set to become another classic.

Druid Dance - Jules Bitter

After the success of Water Emotion by Finglas, Jules Bitter has returned to the recording studio for this latest superb offering of Celtic acoustic music.
Druid Dance contains jigs and reels, soft lamenting ballads, and some tunes that will make you want to get up and dance, all played on tin whistle, celtic harp, flute, bodrhan, fiddle, bouzouki and accordion.
The result is a mixture of tunes, some of which take you off to the Otherworld, whilst others would not sound out of place in ODoneghues bar in Dublin.
If you like Altan, Planxty or Bothi Band then you will love this CD. The musicianship and production quality is superb throughout -
Highly recommended.

Sabbat - Damh the Bard

Damhs brand new album if the 2012 album Antlered Crown and Standing Stone album was a more reflective collection of music (with, of course a number of rousing Pagan anthems!) this new collection of songs harks back to Spirit of Albion and The Cauldron Born. The anthems have a folk-rock feel, and the ballads have even more depth and meaning. The inclusion of the classic folk song Scarborough Faire and a cover of Lady in Black by Uriah Heep makes this an album that will surely please old and new fans of Damhs music alike.

Tales from the Crow Man - Damh the Bard

Welcome traveller. Its a beautiful Summers day, just right to sit here in this field of corn and listen to the voices of the past...

These songs (apart from the Green Fields of France and Wild Mountain Thyme) are modern interpretations of classic folk songs. The source of these songs lay with the great folk song collectors such as Cecil Sharp, Francis James Child, and the Copper family. These are songs that were transmitted through word of mouth, songs of the lower classes, music with no known composer.
